Mary & Pete { Skamania Lodge }

They met in a whirlwind trip to Vegas, lived across the country from each other but stayed in contact through texted love notes, skype and destination dates! Together at Skamania Lodge inWashington they finally ended their separate lives and were married in a beautiful ceremony with friends & family. It was an honor to be a part of their day capturing it for them.

From the couple :-)

From the moment I met Powers at “Rocked at the Nines” Bridal Show, I felt a connection with Powers Photography Studio. When I met with Erin at the studio, I knew right away that this was the group of people I wanted to work with to shoot the photos to capture our wedding day. Communication between both the office and our photographer was excellent; I felt extremely comfortable with our choice and trusted Powers to be an integral part of our day.

Our photographer was such a pleasure to work with. Pete and I met him for the first time over beers, and felt great about his energy and skills as a photographer. He is incredibly talented at connecting well with all ages of people (which is key when shooting family photos, including little kids!) and working well with various vendors (wedding planner and venue particularly) to ensure that the wedding timelines is adhered to and followed. When I shared my inspiration pictures with him, he was very receptive to what I wanted and worked very hard on the day-of to capture those moments in the style that I preferred. He was so flexible and comfortable to be around. It was easy to work with him, and I really appreciated how he went above and beyond to capture the special moments that I was so excited to create (like the petal toss at the ceremony, the sparkler wedding reception entrance, and the nighttime kissing shot with the stars/moon in the background).
Our photographer really impressed me with his flexibility, skills, and willingness to go above and beyond. Even my family commented to me how impressed they were with how well he could relate to various groups of people (young, old, men, women, etc.) and how discreet he was during the day. Exceptional work, and we’re totally pleased with him.
